Pause for Mourning, please…

Tonight is bittersweet for me, as sadly, my most favorite show, Gilmore Girls, is nearing its fateful end. There are only two more episodes remaining, tonight and next Tuesday. What? You think I’m sad and pathetic for actually blogging about this horrendous, just recently discovered news? Well, phooey on you.

The really, really sad part? Those internet people that seem to know everything are saying that when the final episode was filmed it was slotted to be only the “season” finale not the actual “series” finale. That’s bad news for all of us who want the fairy tale finish to this wondrous show with all loose ends completely tied together in a happy knot. :)
As all telly viewers know, a well written season finale is not complete without a knock your socks off cliff hanger. Please tell me we aren’t going to be stuck with another “Who shot J.R.?” situation.

The entire show has been hinged on the chemistry and tension between Luke and Lorelai. How could it end without them finally getting together for good???

We shall see. Here’s hoping…

I was slightly prepared for this, but still was shocked and saddened when I saw the preview for the SERIES FINALE!!! I almost cried right there too! They are showing some lip locking though in it, so let’s hope that’s not a stupid ploy to trick us into thinking they will be together. (I did see the ending of last night’s episode, :( but otherwise haven’t seen the last 2-3)

And, aren’t you (and me) to young to know about “Who shot J.R.”? :) I guess if I know that reference you do too. :)

The really sad thing is that I knew what you were talking about with the “who shot J.R.” thing. Oh dear . . .

So, what did you think about the finale? It is not EXACTLY how I would have chosen to end it, really not very close, but I still felt a good sense of closure. I am just such a sappy romantic, I always want everything to end perfectly, no matter what! :)
