Never Ready for Summer…

I must warn you that the images you will see when you click on the link are not for the faint of heart. I can barely handle them myself.

A local radio station is having an ugly feet contest, and they have a few pics of the entries online. Click at your own risk! Some of these poor souls are never ready for summer! Ugly feet here…

Now, I have always thought that my feel were ugly. We Swaringens all seem to have that in common. (I don’t know about your side, though, Sherri!) The ironic thing is that I think Mack’s feet are the most normal looking. Of course, it would figure that the guy in the family would end up with more normal looking feet than the other three sandal-wearing females.

I used to have more of a complex about my feet and hardly wore sandals or flip-flops that showed off my crazy toe. Yes, there, I’ve said it. I have a crazy toe. Right foot, 3rd toe over is just a little stubby. :)

My mom tells me it’s been that way since I made my way into this world 29 years ago. The doctor informed her that I looked to be fine except for my one toe. To which Mom replied, “Have you seen mine?”

I’m sure mom and B won’t mind me telling that they have the unique “finger like toe” style. I don’t have the “finger toes”, but they don’t have the crazy toe.

I do now believe that my toes are actually more normal than I thought based on the pictures I just witnessed.

I think this is a case of perspective. You get a good dose of perspective and realize how good you really have it!

I’ve been exposed to the world with my finger like toes! How dare you! j/k :) I laughed for like 5 minutes when I read what your Doctor said! I’ve never heard that story, but that is hilarious! I used to have a complex about my toes, but I’ve long ago accepted it and enjoy wearing my sandals!

That was hilarious. To think some people would be willing to show off those toes to win a contest. I agree with you about perspective. Sometimes we get our thinking all askew.

I enjoyed the photos of your crazy toe. We all have to have something that makes us different. Otherwise, life would simply be boring.

Ha ha, I now remember B.A.’s long toes! I’d forgotten that! I don’t think many of us have nice feet, *sigh*. (That’s why I wear crocs.)

Okay, compared to those pix on Matt & Ramona’s site… you look like a foot model!!!! Shelly’s definitely got some funky feet, I guess since the Lord felt like he had to give me this body, He thought He’d take mercy on my feet… I got mine from Mom! :-)
