Goodwill Hunting!

This is our LAST WEEK of our first year of Homeschooling!  Can I get a whoop-whoop?

In honor of our last week, I decided at the last minute to try to plan a fun outing or activity for each day of the week!

Yesterday’s “outing” was supposed to be story time at the library. After I got all three kiddos inside I found out that story time had been cancelled until the middle of June!  There are few things worse than going through the hassle of getting all three kids out somewhere only to find out it was a futile effort.

Soooo in an effort to salvage some part of the fun-ness of the outing, I opted for Plan B which became making a stop at Goodwill on the way home.  :)

Let me just say I am so very happy that there was no Story time today.  We scored big-time!

I snagged this Fisher Price infant toddler seat for our best neighbors.  It was such a steal for only $4!!  Back in the day, our own Wadester destroyed the bouncy seat they had borrowed from someone {I know.  It’s hard to believe.} so it was neat-o to be able to finally replace it! It’s selling for $30 at Walmart so I think it was a win!

Wade spotted the Lightning McQueen first, and then moments later I saw the helicopter.  They both say fun little sayings {fun for now, I guess} and had WORKING batteries!   They are HUGE, and I am SHOCKED that they were only marked 99¢.  They are not sold in regular stores, so their prices are inflated now, but I found the Lightning on Amazon going for almost $40 and the helicopter for $50.

For some dorky reason, I always like to look on the price tag for the date the item was put out.  I find weird satisfaction in snatching something mere moments after it was placed on the floor!  In case you were wondering… yes, these both had just been put out!

I also envisioned many envious eyes as Wade proceeded to play with his new toys for the rest of the shopping trip.  Anyone with little CARS fans knows how RIDICULOUS the Cars toys’ prices are so maybe there were a few envious looks headed my way.  :)

Haylee made out pretty well too with a cute “H” that {for some reason} she thinks probably stands for “Home”??  I thought the pink chair was pretty nifty too since it is foldable for easy stowing when needed, which is always a plus when you’re short on space.

I had told her she could get a book for some summer reading, and as it turns out books were buy one get one free, AND they had 4 practically NEW Junie B Jones books which are some of her FAVES!

If you are feeling sorry for poor Davis, even HE scored with some cutie Stride Rites for later though he was snoozing away and didn’t even appreciate the purchase.  :)

We did let him have a turn in Haylee’s chair when we got home, and he seemed to be a fan.  :)

Yay, GW!  I am so thankful for what a fantastical blessing this little trip was!

If only you could always be SO GOOD to me!
