Adventures with 3 of these kiddos…

I haven’t gotten out much at all ‘flying solo’ with all my little munchkins as of yet, since {at least for now} the effort most often outweighs the reward.  But there are times that is unavoidable, so cope I must.

Last week during an extreme arctic blast, I ventured out to Davis’s 2 month well check with all three of my little “angels.”  That morning when I checked the weather, it was 16 degrees, yuck!  Funny how it’s positively frigid when I have to be somewhere.

In light of the frigidness, I dug out the winter paraphernalia and bundled everyone up.

I’d love one of these to help keep up with all the winter gear. Those hats, scarves, and glove(s) just have a way of going missing when you need them, don’t they? Or am I the only one? What do the rest of you do to store the winter stuff?

Thankfully, by the time we left it was a much warmer 30 something degrees so we all didn’t freeze too bad.

Davis got rave reviews from the doc… 11 lbs on their scale and  in the 50th percentile for height and weight.  I am hopeful he will keep it up and we’ll be able to continue with little to no supplementing. He’s actually 12 weeks old today, and I’m slightly amazed and thrilled that I have been able to nurse this far!  This is  about twice as long as I was able to do it with Haylee.

He is marathon feeding for an hour every 2 to 3 hours or so.  Yes, I said an hour. He is sleeping well… once he goes to sleep he is sleeping to around 5-6:30 am or so.  The problem is that he is fighting sleep after his last feeding at bedtime.  It seems any other time of the day when he’s ready to nap, I can rock him to sleep in a jiffy, but when his last feeding of the night is over and he senses that mommy is TIRED and wants her bed, he stares at me with eyes wide open while I desperately rock him.  In reality though, I’d much rather have a little one fighting sleep who will stay asleep all night!  :)
We’ll sleep again someday right?
