Well, well, well….

Two pink lines…
Can you believe it????????????

I know you may have been wondering what’s going on in the fertility front since I haven’t posted in a while… I did take a test and got a negative as I posted earlier, but I decided to take another last Friday since my cycle hadn’t started yet.

Surprise! It was shockingly positive. I am so accustomed to the negative result, I hardly know how to process.

Chris was at the gym when I found out, so I had some time to plan how I should tell him the news. Ironically, we had gotten a tiny sample diaper in the mail the day before, so I put the diaper, the positive test, and a note that said “Congratulations, can you believe it?”.

When I heard the car, I jumped back in bed and pulled the covers up to feign sleep. I heard him come in and put some things down, and then it wasn’t long and I heard a chuckle. He then came in the bedroom and decided to yank my blankets off to uncover my deceit.
He’s always been there when I’ve tested so it was fun to try to surprise him.

Next month would have been 3 years since we first started trying. Our journey has been so long and sometimes so hard, but I know that God had a plan in it for us.

I pray that come next March we will welcome another little member of the family, but should God have another plan in mind, I trust that we will be able to look to Him for strength.

Renee I am thrilled for you and Chris. My heart was just aching for you with the arrival of Eli and soon to arrive “baby Swarengin”. I could not be any happier for your family. Take care and stay healthy.
