The Mommy Mobile…

After getting the shocking news way back when that we had a little #3 on the way, just about the ONLY area that we were prepared in was our vehicle.  Chris had surprised me for my birthday the year before with a Buick Rendezvous complete with a 3rd row seat.  Whoo hoo, perfect right?

Well, it only took a few rides with all kiddos and their corresponding car seats for us to toy with the idea of going ahead and making the plunge into minivan mode.

We searched online, and it didn’t take long to find one we both liked… though in the interest of full disclosure, Chris’s first choice really would’ve been a MacDaddy-WeAreGrandparents-FULLSIZE-BahamaMama-Van.  Yes, really.  I told him I might consider it when we are retired.  :)

The dealership was near where Chris worked so he decided to drop by after he got off at five. Now, this was the first day of Chris being back to work all day… leaving me alone with all three of my crazy ones.  He is the king of wheeling & dealing with the annoying car salesman.  But… it takes much time to jump through all the silly sales tactics which meant he didn’t come home to me until after TEN o’clock!  He did, however, arrive in a shiny {new} van!

Whoo hoo for reals!!  I absolutely love, love, love it!  It is soooooo roomy and is filled with just downright nifty features that are enough to thrill us, at least.  :)

I’m now officially a minivan mommy.  Does this mean I’m headed for a life of mom jeans????

So, you know how they say that the babies of the family are the spoiled ones?  Well, yeah, so it’s proving true so far.  Ours got a new van.

Is it the 2011 model? LOVE it too! We got the last 2010 on the lot, b/c they gave us a great deal on it. I absolutely LOVE all the room. Matt was a bit dramatic about his life being over and that he was officially middle-aged, but secretly I think he likes it. ha ha… :D
I just can't get over how very spacious it is! Of course, I'm comparing it to a Camry for the last 8 yrs. Enjoy the new ride! :)

No, it's just an '06. It does seem like a big step into getting old, doesn't it?
Glad you are loving yours! We are definitely loving ours too!

What is a MacDaddy-WeAreGrandparents-FULLSIZE-BahamaMama-Van? Is that like a big conversion van?

You already know I love it, but I'll say it here too. Can't wait to get ours.
