Menu Monday…What ya got cookin’?

menumonday_thumb

Up on the menu this week…

Monday… French Dip Subs

french dip{via}

Tuesday… Poppy seed Chicken

poppyseed chicken{via}

Wednesday… Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

tilapia{via}

Thursday… Favorites Night!

Friday… From the freezer… Robin’s Wings

Saturday… Meatball Subs

meatball sub{via}

I decided to split the amazing French Dip Subs since I don’t think we even ate our leftovers last time! {Shame on us for letting such scrumptiousness go to waste!}  I also decided to NOT prep my Meatball Subs ahead of time.  With two ingredients, I can handle adding them to the crockpot at dinnertime. :)

Four meals {plus the Meatball Subs and Wings from the freezer} in just 30 minutes!  Woot Woot!

We spent the afternoon at my Mom’s yesterday so my Meal Prepped got bumped to after church Sunday night.  I was VERY happy it was a quick and easy week!!  I was rushing and trucking along while Chris fed the kids dinner and got them ready for bed!  :)

And our lunch menu

    • PB&J sandwiches x2
    • Turkey & Pepper Jack Wraps
    • Quesadillas
    • Whole Wheat Pizza Toast

DSC_0085 2

I still need to chop up some fruit for the week too.  This weekend I did the lunches a bit at a time, so it didn’t feel like such a HUGE time investment. {I don’t know why I am so SLOW with lunches?!} Haylee helped again to lay out the Turkey wraps!  :)

I SO VERY MUCH LOVE having my lunches prepped.  It is seriously awesomeness to just grab it from the fridge at lunch time.  No whining, hungry, clinging kids while I’m trying to fix something!!  Well, I guess I do still have the whiny, hungry, clinging kids, ha ha!  :)  But at least I can grab them lunch quick most days and stop the hungry part.  :)

The Whole Wheat Pizza Toast and Quesadillas I will do the day of.  The Quesadillas are frozen {Farmrich brand} and you actually bake them in the oven.  So both of those are pretty easy and fairly painless.  :)

Our individual snack size baggies of pretzels, tortilla chips, popcorn etc were all gone, so my Super Helper Haylee sat and made up a BUNCH for us on Saturday.  And I mean A BUNCH!  It saves SO much time though, not having to get the big bag out and dish out portions at lunch or snack time.  Just grab a bag and GO!!!  It also means it is EASY self serve for Wade at snack time which is always nice.  The boy asks me fifty-eleven times every morning if it’s snack time.  :)  Am I the only one whose kids constantly act as if they are starved?

Love it!  What a fabulous sight of wonderful, organized goodness!

Mmmm… can’t wait to start smelling that beautiful French Dip aroma today!

    This sounds yummy. We just had poppy seed chicken last week. It is a family fave. We had the cream cheese chicken yesterday too! We are having roast tonight. I have yet to try this meal plan. Our schedule is way so crazy my fear is I won't be home to cook it. It is inspirational.

    Did you have to go and make me even more hungry??? =)

    That's really funny because french dip subs and meatball subs were on our vacation menu last week. =) So yummy and easy!

    You're so organized! I'm feeling woefully inadequate.

    The broiled tilapia looks amazing. I've been needing to buy parmesan cheese for a while now. The stuff in my fridge expired in July 2010! Maybe this dish will inspire me to replace it.

    And here I was thinking that my children were the only ones who make me look like I never feed them! haha!
    I've got to try this 5 dinners thing sometime soon…how does it work though when you can't shop every week- just every 2 weeks? It's so hard to know sometimes how to make certain foods last without spoiling (especially fresh stuff).

    Stopping over from MPM. Love your ideas! I do the snack baggie snacks too, in baskets I got at Dollar General. But how do you keep the popcorn from going stale?

    Also, a homeschooling Momma. So your newest follower. Please check out one of my two blogs.

    I love the snack bag idea. The first words out of Aubrey's mouth every morning are, "Mommy, I'm hungry." Then after breakfast, "Mommy, I'm still hungry." I hear those words at least once an hour. :)

    The popcorn actually is the bag in the chip aisle… the cheddar kind. It stays pretty fresh in the ziploc!
