Monday was the FIRST DAY of our SECOND YEAR of this adventure called Homeschooling. This year I am not waddling around about to POP with Davis’s arrival looming on the horizon. :)
In honor of our great FIRST DAY fun, here’s a LOOK BACK at this day in history…
And this year…. Look how much they have both GROWN!!!
Eek! Wade was below the doorknob last year, and Haylee was just at the top of the light switch! Now they are SOO big.
Isn’t the FIRST DAY of school such a VERY exciting day for kids and parents alike? No matter what type of emotion we may be experiencing… we are all going through SOMETHING. Whether it be fear, happiness, sadness, or even RELIEF! :)

Thankfully our first day was a success!! The videos did seem to take a L-O-N-G time compared to our routine last year. We started a bit later around 9:30 and she didn’t finish until around 3:20, though she did take about an hour break at lunchtime. I think it may pick up some as she gets used to the new curriculum and other new things.
For now, we’ve decided on a spot on the couch for her with headphones ready. I had a moment of inspiration when I had her stash her backpack of schoolbooks right next to her by the couch. The backpack has this WONDERFUL thing called a ZIPPER that she can close to keep her wittle, curious, baby brother from ransacking everything. :) It has been the perfect solution, so far!
Wade had lots of fun at SCHOOL too! He was SO excited to start his first day!
We are learning about the letter A this week… as well as practicing tracing…lacing…counting & sorting with our animals…and coloring on his dry erase board…
Looking forward to a great year with my kiddos…
Should be fun with THREE WILD ONES roaming the house!!!

Great pictures! They do grow fast . . . and faster as time goes by. What videos is your daughter doing?
