Deep breath… I did it. I switched to my OWN domain!

DesignsbyDanaDamask4

I’ve recently been tweaking stuff around here.  Trying to make some better, more visually appealing elements and choices.

Back when I started this blog I really didn’t know better when I came up with the name and the blog address.

But now that I’ve learned a thing or two, it can be very skeeeery to make changes especially with the blog address.  I don’t want to lose followers or have to start over.  :(

BUUUUUUUT… I decided to do it.  Switching from blogger to your own domain is crazy easy, so if you wanna take the plunge yourself follow these simple tips from Whatever Dee Wants.

{It does cost a bit of moolah… but I thought $10 a year was worth it.  Dee says you also get a custom email address too through google apps, though I haven’t gotten that far yet.}

My new blog address is now…

{drum roll please}

LivingLaughingandLoving.com!!  It’s not exactly the most original blog name, so I’m happy it’s even available, though my brother the downer said, “It’s because no one wants a name that long.”

He might as well have added, “Dummy!”

Ha, ha!  I guess some things never change.

My old blogspot address is supposed to still work.  It will just redirect here.  Hopefully. Please.

My other BIG concern is that anyone who has previously subscribed through a reader will need to REsubscribe.  Dee was a bit vague on that.

From what I can gather it is still working in everyone’s feeds and through Google Friend Connect, {Yes, No? Anyone??} but it would be awesome too if you could go ahead and add the new address to your Reader or follow on Google Friend Connect.

I don’t THINK all has been lost.

But.  WHO KNOWS with the crazy internet?

So please don’t leave me all alone here.  :) Puh-lease, add my new url to your reader to keep following along with our crazy life!

Anyone with any tips or advice on making the switch?

Am I gonna lose peeps?
