Ten Months and Counting…

Wade is now 10 mo’s old. He is only a couple months short of that illustrious one year milestone. Of course, it’s once again hard to believe we could already be in the two digit months.

He is clapping and giving “high fives” and was in a “no” phase for a while where he would shake his head “no” if he didn’t want to give you high five, or if he didn’t want any more food etc. It wasn’t always consistent, and Chris said it was probably more of him trying to avoid the spoon than saying “no.” :)

He started pulling up and even cruising on the couch. He loves pulling up on the couch. The view standing up is just so much better! He does this cute pointing thing now that is kind of a mixture of “Hey, how are you?” and “Oooh, I want you to come over here and get me/play with me!”

His bottom two teeth are most of the way in and his top two are getting close. One of his top ones has broken through, and they seem to be bothering him some. :( It is funny seeing this whole new smile of his… complete with teeth!

He is still continuing with his army crawl method of transportation. Chris joked with him the other day that he didn’t know he had legs down there. He just drags his little body along with him. It is funny to watch him see a target item and take off. When he is getting into something he is excited about, you can hear him breathing heavy doing a panting thing because he’s so excited. Usually it’s something he thinks he’s not supposed to have.

Chris gave him the wrapper to the wipes refill pack, and he had a blast crinkling it all the while looking around at everyone with wide eyes that said, “Do you see me with this? I’m pretty sure I’m being naughty,” fully expecting it to be snatched away at any second.

We took this video (on our new camera!) the other night. He was tired (Isn’t that always a mom’s perogative to use as an excuse when her baby is less than angelic?), so it’s a mixture of laughing and crying. It’s taken such an ordeal to get this uploaded, you have no idea! Is it such a headache for everyone everywhere to upload videos or is it just inexperienced me?? I’ve had to search to find somewhere that would expect the format that my video was saved in, and then when I finally found one, it took about an HOUR to upload! Soooo, the moral of the story is, I’m not sure if this will be a regular occurrence or not. :)

I HATE uploading videos, so I feel you’re pain… My videos are always too big of a file, so I have to shrink it and then upload it, adding tons of time to the process… So, no, it isn’t just you… :)
