Dipping From the Freezer…

The weather turned a bit chilly this weekend, so this is a great time for some fall comfort food! This Chicken and Dumplings recipe is SO easy!  The Poppyseed Chicken is always a hit with the kiddos too… hoping this time will be a win as well for the little minions.

Our little Wild Wheelchair Man has TWO & a HALF more weeks in the cast.  We are taking it one day at a time, and bottom line… at least we are all still here. He is driving us batty with his {lack of} sleep habits. He keeps waking up hysterical in the night… angry and demanding and incoherent.

It’s not pretty, people.

After {at least} FOUR straight nights of Mr. Crabby Pants waking, I got desperate, er… creative, and offered a bribe Saturday night. If he did NOT wake up screaming AND stayed in his bed all night long, then he could have a piece of candy after breakfast.

Thank goodness for my desperation, because the silly child slept all night in his bed… sans screaming! I went in their room in the morning, and Wade pointedly asked, “Is it morning?”   He was determined to stay in his bed until the magic moment that was considered “all night long.”

He is very mobile, believe it or not. He drags his poor little leg behind him, rolls himself this way and that, and wiggles in and out of his wheelchair. His teachers say he is doing fine, but after a day alone with the kids Saturday, I can only imagine what they endure!

We can make it! Just 2.5 more weeks! This definitely has made us so thankful for our otherwise healthy kids. Chris and I both can’t imagine parents who are dealing permanently with a child in a wheelchair.

It is exhausting!

Thankfully, I am not having to come home from school and whip up dinner.  :)

Only 17 minutes this week to prep TWO meals…

As the most anticipated American 3D computer-animated comedy film, Despicable Me 2, according to the review of many critics, is an animated sequel that improves on the original.
Simultaneously that the safe-haven appeal of gold and
silver is at its highest point in background (due to the rampant insolvency of Western governments), we have the bankers severely worsening exactly the same supply-crisis which had already begun to manifest itself in 2000.
Not many sequels can say they were just as good as the first movie but ‘Despicable
    Me 2’ can.
