Her price is far above rubies…

Saturday was the Annual Ladies Banquet at church. This is the event I mentioned earlier explaining all the work that goes into these functions. We were at the church Thursday evening until 11:30 pm and then Friday I was there from 11 am to 3 pm or so. It was a lot of work, but it turned out really well.
The effect was amazing as our gym/auditorium was transformed into an elegant banquet hall. Bette Anne was on hand as one of the photographers taking those wonderful shots of moms and daughters.
She was “thrilled” when she arrived to see that ALL the lights were going to be shut off for the pictures and banquet with the only light being candles and strands of white lights here and there.
A great effect for the dining experience, but not so grand for the photos commemorating the day. Here’s our pic and the pic we took with the Ogle Ladies, a tradition we’ve been doing for who knows how many years. Back when Becca was probably 5 or so. Makes a person feel quite ancient.
After the meal, there were two workshops you could choose from. Mom did one on the Grocery Game, and then there was one on making centerpieces and such. Bette Anne made up a coupon for Mom in photoshop that was so real looking that Mom saw it on the counter and got excited for a sec thinking B had printed her a coupon. :) Everyone that attended the workshop got a coupon for one item free from Mom’s stash that she dragged up the steps. She also gave away four bags of goodies as door prizes to the lucky individuals present.

After the banquet, I stayed around cleaning up, and then raced home, changed and dashed over to Chuck E Cheese for Miller’s birthday party. What a day!

Looks like a lot of fun! The decorations were really nice. I love women’s retreats/banquets/etc. The pic of you and your Mom, BA, and Haylee is nice. One day Haylee will really treasure pics such as that one.

Wow, you really did put in a lot of work, but it looks like it paid off! Gorgeous photos! I’m glad you had such a nice time.

Bette Anne looks really good, too. I’ll be praying for a safe delivery for her! Is she having a boy or a girl, by the way?
