Goodbye Curls!

Since Davis passed that illustrious ONE YEAR OLD mark, we figured it was THAT time.  Time for another HUGE milestone… his first haircut!

Wade had quite a bit more hair than Davis does, and we waited WAY TOO LONG to give HIM his first snip.  His hair was LONG!!!

I know.  Crazy, right?  This WAS while it was being blow dried so it was poofed way out.  I think this was his bath after his first birthday party so maybe he was zoning from his sugar rush.

Davis just had these much calmer little wispy curls…

But we still though it was time to snip away.

I think he enjoyed it.  What do you think?

It is always amazing to me what a difference a simple little haircut can make.  It has aged my little baby boy so much!!  Gone is my BABY and in his place is this wild little toddler

How did this happen??

I know I will blink and our Davis Man will be as crazy as our Wild Wade

Whose recent feat happens to be ripping down the curtain rod in our bedroom while he was “napping.” To accomplish this, he STOOD {yes, stood} on our HEADBOARD.  I walked in the room to find him attempting to put the rod back up with the curtain NOWHERE in sight.

<Sigh>  I know I have some FUN years ahead!  :)

What do you think?  Here’s some haircut comparisons between my two boys…

Although I did find this pic of Wade at just barely over a YEAR old already pulling crazy STUNTS… Bear in mind this is while Chris is trying to push him!

We are always wondering if Davis is going to follow in Wade’s footsteps, but so far he hasn’t tried anything like this!  :)

So maybe we’re good?!  So far his feats have been limited to pulling anything and everything out of its home, gnawing on his crib, and destroying blinds.

Do we have a chance of having a CALM child?? A calm BOY, at that?

awww, Davis is all grown up! Love the haircut! :) and hoping he is calm boy for you! David's brother/SIL have FOUR boys!! I don't think they have a calm one in the bunch – we will have to see about the newest addition. :)

Do you always cut your boys hair? Great job – saves a lot of money.

I can't imagine FOUR boys!!! Talk about crazy!

We've taken Wade to get his cut a couple of times, but the rest of the time either Chris or I cut it. Chris is better with the clippers, and I think I might be better with the scissors.

Wade's hair is so out of control most of the time and it's hard to know how to cut it best to eliminate as much of the crazy as possible! :)

This makes me laugh. I can't believe Davis-He is getting so big. Hilarious story about Wade and the curtain rod. He is a little Chris-scary!
