From the Archives…

{As I was reminiscing reading through ancient posts on my old myspace blog, I decided that I needed to repost some here since they are things I just don’t want to forget.}

This week is a sad one  But I just DON’T wanna forget this…

You are forewarned.

haylee's birthday

Last week has been rather rough for the family as Chris grandmother is not doing well at all.  She was diagnosed with cancer in early August, and took a fall last Wednesday breaking her left shoulder and right wrist.

She was in the hospital until Friday, but hasn’t gotten back to the health she had just the day before she fell.

It’s been so hard on all the family… just happening too fast.  We were over at her house the night before she fell.

So thankful that God allowed us to have that time with her.  We were there pretty late and Haylee got sleepy so she crawled up in bed with “Nanny” and began to sing to her.  Haylee finished singing “The B-i-b-l-e” and asked Nanny to sing some songs to her.

As they lay there with their heads touching and Nanny’s arms wrapped around Haylee I experienced such a feeling of the loss that was to come.  I knew that Haylee probably wouldn’t remember very much about her Nanny, but yet this was someone with a big part in her life at 3 years old.

I so wished that I had my camera to freeze this moment in time so that maybe I could help Haylee somehow cherish the memories she had with her Nanny.

We don’t have much time, but I do pray that God will ease her pain and give us a few more memories in these days she has with us….

…life is a vapor, isn’t it…
