Back on the Ground….Safe and Sound!

Saturday was quite the day for us. We drove about an hour to the illustrious redneck town, otherwise known as Chester, SC. Their appointment was for 2 pm, and we arrived around 2:15 or so. After waiting around a bit in the blistering heat and watching the training video, we were informed that we would have to wait three hours!

The place was quite silly in their way of doing biz and their explanation of why you must wait for hours on end.

This “quite pleasant” woman informed us and another couple that they tell everyone to plan on waiting four or five hours! I’m not sure what the point of having an appointment is if they expect you to be just peachy waiting and waiting in their hard plastic folding chairs.

Those were our choices… inside in one of only a few folding chairs in the semi- air conditioning (the thermostat was set to 80 degrees!) or outside in the I’m-going-to-melt-scorching-heat.

It rained for about 30 minutes which put things even farther behind. Finally, after waiting about FIVE hours, it was finally their turn!

Haylee gave Chris a hug before he headed out and sweetly told him to be safe.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too long before he was back on the ground, safe and sound!

Hmmm… ya’ll didn’t happen to be a CaroWings, did ya? I think I remember that being in Chester… that’s where I took my flying lessons and my brother went skydiving a few times. He LOATHED the wait.
