Free Assignment Sheet Printable!!!

I’ve been working HARD on Haylee’s new Assignment Sheet for the new year.  I wanted to revise and “redecorate” last year’s just for fun!  You know… new year means new stuff!  :)

Midway through last year I decided to scale it down from a full page to a half page… mainly to save a tree or two, not to mention a fortune in printer ink.  :)  I like the half size better, so I kept it thataway.

I added some fun fonts and colors and a few cutey-patooty owls too.

What do you think?

I don’t know if it’s because I spent so much time tweaking it or what, but I’m so proud of the finished result, ha ha!  It’s always nice to have something pretty to look at it amidst a day’s difficult work, right?

We use it with our workbox system, and I love it!  I originally got the Assignment Sheet idea here.  It’s such a great tool combined with the workbox since it helps Haylee start her work independently.

I plan to integrate the workboxes and assignment sheet with the Distance Learning by loading her box with her needed materials, and then the assignment sheet will let her know specifically what she’s expected to do.

I honestly don’t really know exactly how the videos work to know if this is a feasible plan or not, but we shall see.

Hopefully, it will be a piece of cake to take the BJU provided lesson plans for each subject…

…and then add the necessary deets to her assignment sheets each week.

And because I’m a giver and a sharer…  here it is for ya on pdf!

{Just click the “Download” button there to save one to your computer!}

And if you need one to edit and customize for you own specifics, here is the excel file.  Just remember that the fonts will look different on your computer if you don’t have them downloaded.  :)

See, I told you I was a sharer!  {All I ask if you do download it is that YOU share the love too and become a follower!}

Any other organizational tips or methods for assigning daily work you Homeschool peeps with all the experience can share?

    Now those are just too cute! :) I think the assignment sheets will help reinforce the assignments and remind Haylee what exactly she is supposed to do. There is a short "Mom's Minutes" episode at the beginning of most classes that tell you what she will need for the class. Also, at the end of the lesson, the teacher will tell Haylee which page(s) she needs to finish.

    Oh, want to ask…

    Are you planning on doing History and Science in separate semesters like they have it or are you going to alternate them and spread them throughout the year? Sorry if you already blogged about this! :)

    So do you view the little mom's minute clip at the beginning of the lesson every day for every lesson?? It seems like it's only telling you what you already know from the detailed lesson plan?
    As far as H/S… I think I'm going to do one first semester and the other 2nd semester. What do you do?

    I do HS in the fall and Science in the spring. When I first started with BJU, I was receiving the satellite feed of classes and it came through that way in the fall and spring so I just stayed with it. It works for us.

    I actually don't view the clip 99% of the time because it is just telling you what the lesson plan already says. I mean, come on! I have 4 kids. Do they expect me to take the time to view that many Mom's Minutes clips at approx. 5 minutes each for each class for each grade??? I don't think so. BUT there have been times that I wished I had viewed it. :) Sometimes they give extra info that isn't in the lesson plan or explain a project/object lesson in more detail.

    May I ask a question? Haylee is going into 2nd (or 3rd???) grade, correct? Just curious why you posted a 1st grade lesson plan page?

    That's what I was thinking about the mom's minutes. Seems crazy to think that a busy mom would want the info via video as opposed to written where we can peruse quickly!

    I watched some of the orientation lessons today and thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS how you could adjust the speed faster!!!!!! Though I am thankful cuz it helped me get through them faster. :)

    Haylee is going into 3rd, but I was lazy and just found a BJU lesson plan on google images to show as an example. :)

    What grades are yours?

    3rd, 4th, and 8th. I've got two in 3rd grade. They are only a year apart and the younger is a girl. She was quite able to keep up when the older one started Kindergarten so I started her with him and they've been together ever since. Helps my sanity a little. :) I also don't have to set up yet another school viewing station somewhere in the house.
